Amari Chambers, GirlTalk Leadership

While “jeanologist” and “fashionista” are nicknames, Amari Chambers is paving the way as an up and coming leader. Well into her junior year at Heritage High school, Amari is involved in the school newspaper and leader of the Young Women of Worth Club. Outside of school she is Co-owner of an accessory business—Intimate Flair, a child care provider and is actively involved in the Youth Ministry at her church. More recently, she was honoured in 2009 by the Tavis Smiley Foundation as one of the 100 Youth Leaders of the Decade. In her community, Amari still manages to devote time as a Speaker, Youth Conference Director, Advisor and youth teacher for 8-10 year old girls at GirlTalk events.

Willena Glaster, GirlTalk Leadership

Willena D. Glaster is the youngest of seven siblings. She resides in Northern California with her parents. Willena is a member of the Tabernacle of David MBC where she has been a member of the youth choirs for over 11 years. She is a leader at home, church, and her community. She is a tutor, volunteer for 2B Successful Youth, and Cheerleader. Willena is a motivational speaker who also loves to sing, laugh, and choreograph dance. She is a sophomore in high school, part of the Avid program due to outstanding academic excellence which she has maintained throughout school. Willena was presented with an award from her church because of her “walk before” her peers. She is a highly motivated young lady who loves to talk and work with others. Willena’s future plans are to attend an institution of higher learning to pursue a degree in, you guessed it, law!

Alexis Rojas, GirlTalk Leadership

Alexis, "Lexi" as she is affectionately known as is outgoing, charming and very personable. Being the oldest of 3, she leads by example, and creates a path wherever she goes. She created her own life design, by suggesting that her challenge was to meet someone new everyday. While she lives on the West Coast, she has her heart set on going back to her native land, New York. She is excellent in school and at home. She will probably be the next social media guru!!!
